The role of these talons to halt and move the raw material between the conjoined cutting discs placed on two or more axels. The shredding is done by the also talon-shaped special cutting discs. In cases of material overdosage or it getting stuck the device will temporarily reverse its movements to prevent overloading and potential damage.
